Seattle cruises to 98-36 win over Northwest Indian College

KENT, Wash. (AP) — Aaron Menzies scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Seattle to a 98-36 win over Northwest Indian on Thursday night.

Zack Moore contributed 17 points and Jake Spurgeon had 16 for Seattle (4-6), which shot 56 percent from the floor and controlled the boards 58-23. Malik Montoya and Jadon Cohee added 10 points apiece, and Emmanuel Chibuogwu had 14 rebounds.

Seattle never trailed, opening the game with a 3-pointer from Jack Shaughnessy and scoring 20 of the next 23 points. Leading 48-20 at the break, the Redhawks continued to pull away over the final 20 minutes. Seattle's 98 points tied the school's single-game record.

Northwest Indian, part of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, was held to 22 percent shooting from the field (13 of 59) with just nine assists. Sheridan Nodestine led the Eagles with 15 points, all from 3-point range.
