Montana beats NAIA Great Falls 79-59

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Martin Breunig, who was held to three points on Saturday, rebounded to score 18 and help lead Montana to a 79-59 defeat of NAIA Great Falls Tuesday night.

Breunig, who transferred to Montana from Washington, was held to 3 points on 1-for-8 shooting when the Griz (4-5) played at Washington Saturday. Against Great Falls, Breunig nailed his first shot, a jumper, and added a free throw to convert a 3-point play. He also hit a 3-pointer and added a dunk in the first half.

Brandon Gfeller scored 17 points with five 3-pointers for Montana, Walter Wright scored 14 while Bryden Boehning and Michael Oguine added 10 apiece.

The Grizzlies shot 57 percent in the first half, making 17 of their first 30 shots — seven were 3-pointers — and finished 28-for-57 (49 percent) from the field.

Lamar Falley led the Argonauts (5-5) with 12 points.
