GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Jordan Wilson scored 11 of his 20 points in the final seven minutes and Northern Colorado beat Colorado State 73-64 Sunday night to snap a five-game losing streak in the series.
The Bears beat Colorado State for just the third time in the last 17 meetings.
Wilson had a 3-pointer bounce in to extend Northern Colorado's lead to 59-53 with 6:03 left. He had a long jumper less than two minutes later and hit a pullback jumper with 3:08 left for a 63-57 lead.
Gian Clavell spun in the lane and made a layup to pull Colorado State to 64-61 with 1:40 left. But Wilson answered with a runner in the lane and later hit two free throws for a five-point game with a minute left.
Dallas Anglin scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half for Northern Colorado (3-6).
Clavell led Colorado State (6-4) with 18 points.
