SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Tyler Hall scored 24 points and Montana State beat San Jose State 91-83 on Sunday, the Bobcats' second victory over the Spartans this season.
With the Bobcats (5-4) leading 82-79, Hall scored eight points in a 9-4 run over the final 1:48.
Montana State's Marcus Colbert made a 3-point play to break a tie with 2:58 left. Sarp Gobeloglu added a 3-pointer to make it 82-77.
Gobeloglu scored 16 points with three of his four 3-pointers coming in the final 4:26. Danny Robison added 14 points and Colbert 12.
Cody Schwartz led the Spartans (4-6) with 16 points and Princeton Onwas added 13.
The Bobcats led by 12 before San Jose State took its first lead of the second half at 66-64 with 9:56 left.
Montana State beat the Spartans 81-69 on Nov. 20 when teams played on the Bobcats' home floor.
