Evansville dominates Mississippi Valley State 95-60

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Egidijus Mockevicius had 16 points and tied his career-high with 18 rebounds to lead Evansville to a dominating 95-60 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday.

The 6-10 senior from Lithuania also blocked four shots to add to his career total of 232. He holds the career record at Evansville and has 29 through 10 games this season.

Mockevicius had nine points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in the first half.

D.J. Balentine, who nailed 4 of 9 from beyond the arc, scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half. Blake Simmons added 11 points and dished out four assists for Evansville (8-2), which has won five of its last six.

Evansville had a 48-33 advantage at the break and dominated the second half 46-27. The Aces also grabbed 56 rebounds, the first 50+ rebound performance since 2008.

Marcus Romain led MVSU (0-11) with 25 points.
