(KSL News) Several people riding their bicycles up Big Cottonwood Canyon today came upon a truck lying on its side in the creek. The driver was asleep on the river bank.

Salt Lake County sheriff's deputies tell us the man was driving up the canyon around 2:00 this morning when he lost control on a curve and rolled a couple of times into the river.

The man was not hurt, and he got out of the truck on his own. He was also able to grab some supplies from the truck so he could wait until morning for help.
