BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is speaking publicly for the first time about his decision to leave his military base in Afghanistan and subsequent 5-year imprisonment by the Taliban. His interview with screenwriter Mark Boal is the basis of the second season of the popular podcast, "Serial."

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Heartland Recreational Vehicles is looking to hire more than 120 employees for its new manufacturing facility in Nampa. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. Production is expected to begin in March, with eight to 10 units being built per day.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Andrus Center for Public Policy has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to bring together federal, state, tribal and other entities to find ways to reduce the severity of rangeland wildfires. The center will host a series of small workshops and conferences that will also look at ways to restore fire-damaged landscapes.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Mikey Thompson converted a 3-point play with 12.7 seconds left to help cold-shooting Boise State slip past Loyola Marymount 67-66 Thursday night. Thompson's play helped the Broncos overcome a late 66-62 deficit and remain perfect in five home games this season. The game featured 12 ties and 12 lead changes.
