(KSL News) -- Crews managed to get the Dog Valley Fire 100 percent contained, but not before it burned nearly 29-thousand acres.
Lightning started the fire nearly a week ago. Crews battled the blaze along ridge tops and through steep canyons.
Some smoldering in the middle of the fire is under observation and afternoon thunderstorms with possible lightning strikes could cause problems.
