ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Fire crews continue to battle blazes throughout the state this morning.
In northern Utah, officials says six lightning-caused fires sparked up yesterday, but only two small ones remain burning. The Deacon fire, south of Snowville, and the Cedar Hill fire, near Deweyville. So far, both blazes have burned more than one-hundred acres or half a square mile.
In southern Utah, fire officials say 20 new fires started yesterday. However, only one was notable. The Kiln Complex fire is burning 30 miles southwest of St. George near the Arizona/Nevada line. Fire crews were able to contain it last night. So far, it's scorched more than 25-hundred acres or just over four square miles.
