SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — The FBI says it doesn't have any evidence yet that the man and woman who killed 14 people on Wednesday were part of part of a larger plot or members of a terror cell. But a federal law enforcement official says the wife, Tashfeen Malik, used a Facebook alias to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State group and its leader. She and her husband, Syed Farook, died in a fierce shootout in San Bernardino hours after Wednesday's attack.

NEW YORK (AP) —Mayor Bill de Blasio says New York City will deepen its relationship with the Muslim community. Speaking at a Friday night event, he said the city is stronger because of the 800,000 Muslim New Yorkers. He promised thorough investigations into any hate crimes. The city last year disbanded a team of detectives that conducted surveillance in the community.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A funeral is set for Saturday for one of the three people gunned down last week at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jennifer Markovsky was a 36-year-old mother of two. Also killed were a campus police officer and an Army veteran who served in Iraq and was the father of two.

CHICAGO (AP) — The police reports filed by officers who witnessed a white officer shoot a black teenager in 2014 reportedly conflict with what dash camera video depicts. The Chicago Tribune reports the city of Chicago released the police reports late Friday. One said Laquan McDonald was advancing on officers and swinging his knife in an "aggressive, exaggerated manner." The recently released video shows McDonald was veering away when shot 16 times. The officer who fired was charged with murder.

NEW YORK (AP) — Lawyers for Univision have asked a federal judge in New York to toss out Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's $500 million lawsuit against the network. The response says Trump destroyed the value of Univision's rights to broadcast the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant by making what it calls "disgraceful allegations" about Mexican immigrants that offended millions of people.
