LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Members of the Logan-Cache Airport Authority Board say the airport has seen a steady increase in commercial operations.
The Herald Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1OCVemz ) that at a meeting this week the board reported Federal Aviation Administration statistics that show an increase of Instrument Flight Rules operations, a kind of operation generally applied on flights bringing people and commerce to the valley.
At the Logan-Cache Airport, many of those operations are performed by corporate aircraft, air freight operators and charter flights.
According to the report, IFR operations have been increasing at an average of 5 percent each year since 2005. In 2015, the airport has seen a 14 percent growth in IFR operations.
Board member Bill Francis says the increase in IRF operations is bringing an influx of business into the valley.
