NEW YORK (AP) — America, owned and bred by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, won the $200,000 Turnback The Alarm Handicap Friday at Belmont Park.

Chris DeCarlo was aboard for trainer Bill Mott as the 4-year-old got her first win since Jan. 1 at Aqueduct.

Breaking from the outside post in the eight-horse field, America set the pace and held off 4/5 favorite Delightful Joy by 1 1/2 lengths.

America paid $8.80, $3.10 and $2.40 as the 3-1 second choice.

Delightful Joy returned $2.70 and $2.10, and Call Pat paid $2.70 to show.

Music Mountain Man beat Converge by 1 1/2 lengths in the $100,000 Awad Stakes for 2-year-olds on the turf with Manny Franco riding for trainer Todd Pletcher. He paid $13 to win.
