RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County authorities are investigating after two bus windows were shot out with a BB or pellet gun in Reno.
According to a release from the Regional Transportation Commission, the windows of a Route No. 5 bus were shot out Tuesday morning. The northbound bus had been stopped when BBs or pellets shot out the two windows.
No injuries have been reported.
Sheriff spokesman Bob Harmon says the department is not sure whether Tuesday's incident is related to a similar string of shootings earlier this year in Sparks. Police say 17 bus windows were shot out of more than a dozen buses from May to July.
RTC and MV Transportation are offering rewards totaling $10,000 for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
