(KSL News) A Springville man who accidentally shot himself is now in a heap of trouble because of the things police found when he called them to his home.

Police say the 27-year-old was heavily intoxicated and playing with a revolver yesterday when it went off. He called police, and when they arrived they found marijuana, a collection of guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, a sword and illegal fireworks.

To make matters worse, the man is a convicted felon and lives near Springville Junior High School, meaning he'll face more severe charges when he's released from the hospital.

Police did not release his name.
