SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz have waived Grant Jerrett, a forward who injured his shoulder during summer league and needed surgery.

The 6-foot-10 Jerrett was hurt in the first game of summer league in Salt Lake City. He wasn't able to participate in preseason camp, practices or games after his operation. He was acquired as part of the trade that sent Enes Kanter to Oklahoma City at the trade deadline last season.

Jerrett played at Arizona was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA D-League draft.

The Jazz roster now stands at 17.
