(KSL News) Today firefighters know the cause of the intensely hot wildfire ignited in Draper yesterday afternoon.

Chad Simons of the Unified Fire Authority said, "It was caused by smoke bombs, the little fireworks that make a lot of smoke. Those are legal fireworks for Utah. [They were] just used in a poor location. They [investigators] don't have the people responsible figured out yet, but they know it was caused by smoke bombs."

About three acres burned in the wetland park. Firefighters say homes were threatened, and five residences were evacuated. No one was hurt.
