(KSL News) Heat could have contributed to the death of a French woman visiting Arches National Park.

The woman collapsed while hiking the trail to Delicate Arch yesterday afternoon. Bystanders performed CPR for close to a half an hour but were unable to revive her.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office is now looking into the death.

Temperatures in Arches National Park have been hovering near the 100 degree mark all week.
