Jordan Football to Play in Ohio Football Tourney

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Jordan High School is one of Sixty top high school teams from 11 states that will square off at three sites over two days this August in the Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series.

Jordan will play Ohio's Massillon High School on Aug. 30 at the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Teams from Ohio, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Utah, Florida, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois and Tennessee will participate.

Scheduled in Ohio the past three years, the event was expanded this year to include a series of games in Texas. Four games will be played at Pro Football Hall of Fame Field in Canton, Ohio, Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati and Texas Stadium on Aug. 30, besides three more games at Paul Brown Stadium a day later.

ESPN will broadcast at least one of the games, between Cincinnati Elder and Florida's St. Thomas Aquinas.
