Senior citizens are the safest drivers, according to a new report.
Allstate Insurance says Salt Lake's senior drivers are safer than baby boomers, gen X-ers and generation Y.
On average, seniors crash once every 11.9 years. Next best were the baby boomers at once every 10.8 years. Topping that off, senior drivers here are the second-safest in their age group across the country.
An Allstate spokesman says it makes sense, since the more experience drivers have, the less frequently they're going to get in accidents.
