NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Devils left wing Reid Boucher is going to be sidelined after sustaining a concussion in a prospects game over the weekend.

Executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero said Tuesday that Boucher was hurt against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. He was evaluated on Monday by doctors and has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Boucher will be held out of team activities until he is cleared.

The Devils said Boucher would have no comment until he returns to practice.

The 22-year-old Boucher had one goal in 11 games with the Devils last season. He played in 62 AHL games in Albany, scoring 15 goals.
