ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Oakland Athletics have acquired left-handed reliever Daniel Coulombe from the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash considerations.

The A's made room on their 40-man roster Friday by moving right-hander Evan Scribner to the 60-day disabled list with a torn muscle in his back.

Coulombe appeared in five games over five stints with the Dodgers and had no record with a 7.56 ERA. The 25-year-old spent most of the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 3-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 38 appearances.

Scribner was 2-2 with a 4.35 ERA in 54 games with the A's. His last appearance was Aug. 31.
