SALT LAKE CITY — Welcome to From Left Field! Here are three of the most shareable things that happened in sports this weekend.

1. Michigan fans leave $3,000 tip for server in Salt Lake City

After their team lost to Utah 24-17, some Michigan fans were clearly in a mood to down their sorrows. So they visited local Salt Lake City bar Bourbon House and rung up a $505 tab.

But then they put a $3,000 tip on top of that.

Their server, Breanne Snow, told The Salt Lake Tribune, "It came as such a relief. He could have picked anyone else in there, and for him to pick me, it meant a lot because we were working so hard."

Good work, Michigan fans.

2. Alabama fan loses eye, now has 'Bama' artificial eye.

SEC football fans are known for their intense dedication to their sport, but this Alabama fan might take the cake. Her name is Mary Farr, and she has a "Bama" artificial eye after losing her working one in an airplane accident in 1975.

Count her as Alabama's biggest fan, then. Even when they're not playing, Farr always has one eye on her team.

3. Tom Brady has a Donald Trump hat.

Yes, there's been a lot of Tom Brady in the news recently; in fact, Brady's share of the limelight has perhaps only been eclipsed by Donald Trump's news coverage. Good news: They're teaming up!

After Trump's signature "Make America Great Again" hat was found in his locker, Tom Brady was asked about the hat, and answered:

Tom Brady confirms @realDonaldTrump's "Make America Great America" hat was in his locker, says he's good friend & has done "amazing" things. — Michael McCann (@McCannSportsLaw) September 8, 2015

Maybe we'll see Brady as VP. ![](http://beacon.deseretconnect.com/beacon.gif?cid=316968&pid=4)
