CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — The University of Virginia is allowing undergraduate students to earn a minor in entrepreneurship.

The Daily Progress reports (http://bit.ly/1g5nhMO ) that many schools at the university had informal programs, but now an interdisciplinary minor will allow for collaboration between the schools.

After students take an initial class on startups, they begin to break into one of two concentrations — social entrepreneurship or technology entrepreneurship.

The newspaper reports that many students have shown interest in the minor and university officials are receiving emails daily from students who want to enroll in the classes.
