TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The season opening contest between Stony Brook and Toledo was canceled due to severe weather on Thursday night.
The first-half weather delays totaled three hours and, after a shortened halftime, the game was stopped just before the third-quarter kickoff. It was called off after midnight.
According to a Toledo release, "The game will not be replayed and is officially listed as 'no contest.' Stats from the game will not count."
Toledo held a 16-7 lead after two quarters.
