NEW YORK (AP) — NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush Hager and her husband have welcomed their second daughter.
Former President George W. Bush says in a statement that Poppy Louise Hager was born Thursday in New York.
She's named after Jenna's grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, who was called Poppy as a child.
Hager and her husband, Henry, also have a 2-year-old daughter, who is named Margaret Laura after her grandmothers. She is called Mila (MEE'-luh).
Hager tells NBC's Savannah Guthrie that George H.W. Bush "got very emotional" at the news the baby was named after him.
