Carole Mikita ReportingLatin singing sensation Elvis Crespo brings his special blend of music to Salt Lake City tonight.
It's merengue music at its best. In 1998, Elvis Crespo shot to the top of the charts, winning Billboard awards for Latin Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
Born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico, he spent a long apprenticeship performing with four orchestras or groups, before launching a solo career.
This time his tour brings him to Salt Lake City.
Elvis Crespo performs tonight at Club Soumb, that's located at 200 South 546 West in Salt Lake City. The doors open at 8, show at 9. Tickets are $25 at SmithTix, $30 at the door.
