(KSL News) Two bail bondsmen involved in a five-hour standoff between SWAT members and an armed man will not face criminal charges.
Keith Lassiter and William Antico sawed a hole in the door of a 29-year-old man's house in West Valley City last April. They were looking for the man who forfeited his bail after failing to show up in court.
When they saw the man sitting inside the house with a rifle, they called police and a standoff ensued.
It ended when the man committed suicide.
Police suggested the bondsmen leave, but they opted to stay.
Police say they are unhappy with the bondsmens' actions but don't plan to pursue charges.
