(KSL News) -- Tomorrow will be a "yellow" air quality alert day.
The Utah Department of Environmental Quality issued the alert for Salt Lake, Davis and Utah Counties.
The recipe for ozone is extreme heat, clear skies, and pollution.
Rick Sprott, Dir., Utah Division of Air Quality: "The chemicals that form it are the things that are produced by combustion of automobiles, industry or forest fires, and that's one of the problems tomorrow we're going to get a lot of pollution from the California and Nevada forest fires that is due to arrive tomorrow."
Looks like some of it already got here. You can help by cutting down on vehicle use...and don't mow your lawn until it cools off. Anyone with respiratory problems should avoid strenuous exercise.
