Roberts apologized to the family of Trisha Stubbs for her involvement in the crime, saying that she will be tormented by what she did for the rest of her life.

Prosecutors say Stubbs was beaten and bound with duct tape in Roberts' home before being taken to a the Toqureville Falls area, where she was shot several times.

Judge Shumate told Roberts that her actions strike at the core of the purpose of this court, to find truth. He sentenced her to the maximum 15 year to life, saying it's his intentions that she never sees the light of day.

Kyle Jenson, who pleaded guilty to the same charge, was sentenced to six years to life. Both law enforcement and prosecutors said Jenson was truly remorseful for his actions, not just for being caught. Something they say they rarely see.
