SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- As prices at the pump increase across the country, gas prices in Utah and much of the West are dropping.
That's according to AAA.
The automobile association says nationally the average price for a gallon of regular gas is two dollars and 97 cents. That's seven cents higher than last month and 68 cents higher than last year at this time.
However, here in Utah, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is two dollars and 87 cents. That's three cents lower than last month. However, Triple-A says it's 62 cents higher than a year ago.
