(KSL News) An argument ends with a shot fired in Salt Lake last night.
Police say two men were fighting inside a downtown apartment complex near 15 South and 300 East when one of them picked up a small handgun. He started hitting the other man with it. The gun went off, shooting through the ceiling. Nobody was hit by the bullet.
Police said, "Bullets travel a long ways, and we're lucky nobody was seriously injured."
The man who was beaten was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other man was arrested for aggravated assault and firing the gun in city limits.
