LOGAN — I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I absolutely loved my wedding day, and I never want to do it again.

The day was beautiful and memorable, and I married the most incredible woman. It was perfect. The lead-up to the wedding not so perfect. It was around month two of our six-month engagement that I realized we were spending hour upon hour planning one day when we'd have years — hopefully — following that day. Why were we so worried about that one day?

Why is it that one day is so important? I mean the last eight years have had pretty important days as well, but we planned more for that day than we did the following decade put together. Again, it was a great day that I'll never forget, but I only plan on doing it once. Mainly because I still love my wife and want to be with her, also because I don't want to do that whole wedding thing again.

Regardless, that day is a big one, and there's a lot of pressure to make sure everything is perfect. Everything from the flowers to the place settings are expected to be flawless. But what happens when something does go wrong? What if your videographer decides to use a drone and it loses its mind and starts World War III? Well, that didn't happen in this local video, but the drone did have a bit of a malfunction. Well, it was more operator error than anything.

I guess we could call it operator error, but Mr. "I Can Fix Anything," Zack Nelson, who was operating the drone, said it wasn't all his fault.

"Flying a drone takes two people. One to fly and watch the front camera, and the other to 'spot' the drone and make sure it doesn't hit anything, Nelson told KSL.com. "My communication with the spotter wasn't fast enough that day."

Nelson said the spotter was a close friend so he didn't get too upset, Nelson just verbally assaulted him for 35 minutes. That's not true. Nelson's actually a super nice guy with a great sense of humor. He said the bride is a friend of his and the shoot up Logan Canyon was one friend doing another a favor on that ever important day.

I did ask him if the couple "lost it" when the drone took a dive, but he said they were fine.

"The couple was concerned when the drone crashed, because they know how expensive the set up can be," Nelson said.

That's fair considering "How much is this going to cost?" is usually the number one question on people's mind when they get married. Well, maybe number two. But Nelson said they were good sports about it. In fact, he said the drone only suffered two broken propellers and was ready to fly again in no time.

Regardless, I'd like to say to this couple to not sweat it. It's now a fun memory. Just know, if my marriage survived the fact our overpriced photographer lost all of our photos then you two can handle a drone mishap.
