CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago White Sox television announcer Hawk Harrelson will miss the team's 11-game trip because of a minor surgical procedure.
The team said Sunday that Chicago Bulls radio play-by-play announcer Chuck Swirsky will fill in for the 73-year-old Harrelson on the broadcasts with Steve Stone.
The White Sox didn't disclose what type of procedure Harrelson will have.
The trip begins Monday night in Toronto.
