Atlanta's bullpen, 25th in the majors with a 4.60 ERA, used 14 relievers through its first 35 games.
Masset is 18-14 with a 3.97 ERA in 367 major league games with five teams. A shoulder injury sidelined him for the 2012-13 seasons.
He would get a $120,000 while in the minor leagues.
