UNDATED (AP) — That biker shootout in Texas apparently started as a tiff over parking. Then a gang member's foot was run over. Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton says that brought the dispute into a restaurant, where it boiled over into fighting and then shooting before spilling back outside. Nine people died in the fracas. Eighteen were injured. Swanton says the investigation is hampered by some who "are not being honest with us."

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Police are saying the Florida man charged with shooting at George Zimmerman last week had "a fixation" on the former neighborhood watch leader and had recently been admitted to a mental hospital. A Lake Mary Police Department report says 36-year-old Matthew Apperson had shown signs of paranoia, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Apperson's attorney hasn't answered an email seeking comment. Zimmerman told officers he had been driving in the Orlando suburb last week when Apperson got behind his truck, started yelling and fired at him.

BOSTON (AP) — No exact date yet on when Dzhokar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) will be formally sentenced to death for his part in the Boston Marathon bombing. But Judge George O'Toole Jr. said today the hearing will take place next month, in June. A jury last week condemned Tsarnaev for the 2013 attack that killed three and injured 260.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Engineer Brandon Bostian was alone when Amtrak Train 188 derailed one week ago. Now two railroad unions are urging Amtrak to put a second engineer in the locomotives, so one can serve as a check and balance on the other. A second crew member hasn't been in the cab of Northeast Corridor trains since 1983, after Congress ended the requirement.

PARIS (AP) — The remains of the 150 victims who died in the Germanwings plane crash in March will finally be turned over to their families. Investigators of the crash in the French Alps say they've completed their identification process, and death certificates for everyone aboard the doomed Airbus A320 have been signed and turned over to parent airline Lufthansa. Officials, however, are still puzzling over why the co-pilot locked the captain out of the cockpit and sent the plane hurtling into a mountain, killing everyone on board.
