CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bulls forward Pau Gasol is in the lineup for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
Gasol is back after missing two games because of a strained left hamstring. The Bulls hope he can help them avoid elimination with Cleveland up 3-2 in the series, even if he is limited.
"Pau doesn't move around out there like a gazelle," teammate Mike Dunleavy Jr. said. "Him at not 100 percent is OK with us. His size is still huge. He can still knock down shots. If he's a little slow getting up and down the court, we'll cover for him."
Gasol had 21 points and 10 rebounds in Chicago's series-opening win. The leg started to bother him in Game 2. He left Game 3 after playing about 22 minutes.
He averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds and at 34, he led the NBA with a career-high 54 double-doubles.
