CLEVELAND (AP) — Jhonny Peralta has singled with two outs in the seventh inning for the St. Louis Cardinals' first hit off Cleveland Indians right-hander Corey Kluber.

Peralta grounded a 2-0 pitch past diving shortstop Jose Ramirez up the middle for the Cardinals' second baserunner. Kluber earlier hit Matt Holliday with a pitch.

The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner has struck out 16 without walking a batter. Kluber entered the game with an 0-5 record and a 5.04 ERA. The Indians were winless in his first seven starts.

The Indians led 2-0.
