NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Southwest Idaho police say a 19-year-old woman witnesses say was beaten and forced into a vehicle by a man has been found.

The Nampa Police Department in a statement says Cassandra Rupert of Boise was found Wednesday. The agency offered no other details.

Authorities say witnesses reported a kidnapping Tuesday evening and that a Nampa police officer briefly chased a black Lincoln Navigator with temporary tags, but the pursuit was called off due to speeds that created a hazard to the public.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a shaved head.

Police say the case is still under investigation.
