PROVO, Utah (AP) — A jury has begun deliberating to decide whether a Utah teenager accused in a crime spree that left a deputy dead was violently in love or a terrified victim. Prosecutors said during closing statements in Provo on Friday that 18-year-old Meagan Grunwald was willing to do anything to stay with her boyfriend, including drive a speeding getaway car. But she tearfully testified during the two-week trial that she drove because 27-year-old Jose Angel Garcia-Jauregui threatened her family.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies will not run the Miller Motorsports Park after October. The company announced that it will not renew its lease of the property with Tooele County and no longer operate the facilities after Oct. 31. The park was built by the LHM Group, opened in 2006 and was named the "Motorsports Facility of the Year" at the Motorsport World Expo that year. The facilities will be taken over by Tooele County.

WELLINGTON, Utah (AP) — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a head-on collision that left two men dead near Wellington. Troopers told KSL-TV the Thursday morning crash occurred when a Nissan sedan heading west on U.S. 6 crossed over to oncoming traffic and crashed into a Chevrolet HHR.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will again host a retreat in Utah for high-profile political figures, business leaders and campaign donors. Romney's team sent out invitations Thursday for the fourth Experts and Enthusiasts Summit that will be held June 11-13 at the Deer Valley resort in Park City.
