Bear Lake lays claim to both Utah and Idaho and is truly a historical and recreational paradise. Often called the "Caribbean of the Rockies," it the intense turquoise-blue water excites anyone who loves recreational activities. Whether you're looking to enjoy the water, myriad recreational opportunities or merely smell the fresh air, Bear Lake has much to offer its visitors.
Here are six things to do in or around Bear Lake.
Water sports
Boating, tubing, water skiing and wakeboarding... Bear Lake welcomes it all. Be safe and enjoy the cool water.

Play on the beach
Swimming off the nice, gentle beaches of Bear Lake is fun for the whole family. Be sure to bring a sun umbrella, a picnic lunch and a beach ball!

Golf galore
Warmer temperatures and green grass must mean it's time to dust off your golf clubs and head to Bear Lake! There are two golf courses with spectacular views of the lake, located on scenic hillsides by Garden City, Utah and Fish Haven, Idaho.
The third is a challenging municipal course in Montpelier, Idaho. Each facility has reasonable green fees and the course designs are ready to test your golfing abilities. Go for the weekend and play all three courses!

Are you ready to make some big catches? Anglers come from all over to enjoy the wonders of Bear Lake. You're bound to catch something nice!

There aren't many ways to welcome summer better than visiting the great outdoors. Hiking and biking around the Bear Lake area offers beautiful views, fresh air and great exercise.
