HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) — A huge, quirky collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia is about to be auctioned off, piece-by-piece.
The Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/1DJvcVB) reports that more than 450 Elvis-related items from the collection of the late Paul MacLeod will be put on the auction block once again Saturday. MacLeod operated the Elvis Too home and museum in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
The collection was supposed to be sold off in February, but the online auction was cancelled because of a misunderstanding. Greg Kinard of Meridian-based Spur K Auctions said the winning bidder from Georgia mistakenly thought he was also bidding on the 161-year-old antebellum home when he bid $54,500. The property was actually being sold separately and is still on the market.
The Graceland Too museum was not affiliated with Graceland or the Presley estate.
