(KSL News) A Salt Lake developer will start landscaping a piece of property today because he has not started building on it.

Craig Mecham admits that construction should have begun on the parcel of land he owns on Highland Drive and 2100 South, but he says other circumstances have slowed those plans.

The city gave him until today to start landscaping, which Mecham says will be done and will cost between $26,000 and $66,000. That landscaping will be removed once the construction begins.
