SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah high schools have one last lesson for graduating seniors: party all night, but skip the booze.

Schools statewide are hosting all-night, alcohol-free parties and offering attractions like mechanical bull riding, rock climbing and raffle off I-Pods, gift cards and other goodies to lure participants. At Cottonwood High school this year, some lucky senior could win a car.

Attendance at dry parties varies. Just 37 percent of graduates attended a party at Kearns High School in 2007. At Judge Memorial Catholic High, however, 96 percent of seniors attended last year's event.

Reports submitted by Wasatch Front schools to the Salt Lake County Division of Substance Abuse Services shows that between 50 and 75 percent of graduates attend the parties.

This year the county service agency has passed out $67,000 to 23 high schools to help defray party expenses.
