INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) — A 61-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling more than $850,000 from a business on Lake Tahoe's north shore.

Washoe County sheriff's deputies say Pamela Kircher of Carnelian Bay, California, was arrested Thursday in the case involving an Incline Village business.

Investigators declined to identify the business, but say Kircher most recently worked as a housekeeper at various locations in Incline Village.

She's accused of embezzling the money over a seven-year period. The business became suspicious late last year and requested an investigation by the sheriff's office.

Kircher was booked into the Washoe County jail on charges of embezzlement, theft and falsifying accounts.
