SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse has extended women's basketball coach Quentin Hillsman's contract.
Terms of the agreement were not released Friday.
The Orange just completed one of their best seasons, going 22-10 overall and 11-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Orange advanced to the second round for the second straight season, a program first, losing to No. 1 seed South Carolina. All but two players return.
Hillsman, only the fourth coach in the 40-year history of the program, is 189-108 (.636) in nine seasons. It's the best winning percentage in school history. He has led the Orange to seven consecutive winning seasons and seven straight postseason appearances, including three straight NCAA berths, also a program first.
