MURRAY — Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries when a truck crashed into a Nickel Mania arcade Wednesday.
Murray firefighters responded to the scene about 3 p.m to find a truck crashed through the glass of the arcade, 6051 S. State.
The driver was hospitalized and another person suffered minor injuries. The crash could have been worse if more customers were inside the arcade at the time, fire officials said.
The cause of the crash is still being determined and few details about the investigation were released. Police closed down northbound State Street between 6100 and 6200 South while they examined the scene.
The truck’s wheels could be seen spinning and turning up smoke inside Nickel Mania because of a jammed accelerator. Emergency workers discovered the crash while responding to a medical call.
