(KSL News) Salt Lake City's police ranks just grew by 15 today as the department congratulated a new crop of academy graduates.
Throughout the past 21 weeks, the officers-in-training studied various law enforcement tools, including firearms, defensive tactics, DUI enforcement and criminal law.
The grads won't have much time to celebrate their achievement. They'll be starting 14 weeks of field training on Sunday.
The Salt Lake City Police Department operates two academies per year to help keep the organization fully staffed.
