LAS VEGAS (AP) — A year after a tense standoff between a Nevada rancher's armed supporters and federal land agents, Cliven Bundy is hosting a barbecue and celebration to mark the event that vaulted him into tea party stardom. Bundy says he's got 2,000 buns and all the beef people can eat ready for the three-day reunion beginning today.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada lawmakers are reviewing a proposal requiring parental notification before a minor can receive an abortion. The bill would require physicians to send a written notification to parents or guardians of a minor seeking an abortion and requires a 48-hour wait time before the procedure.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A Nevada Assembly committee has passed two Republican-backed bills affecting public employee retirement payouts and allowing local governments to opt out of collective bargaining. The bills now move to the Assembly floor. Today marks the deadline for bills to pass an initial committee vote.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Republican Sen. Rand Paul is coming to Las Vegas on a tour of key states for his presidential bid. Saturday's hour-long rally starting at noon at the Desert Vista Community Center in Las Vegas will mark the last stop of his "Stand with Rand" tour. Paul launched his 2016 campaign Tuesday in Louisville, Kentucky.
