SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Questar Gas is making plans for another price increase as a current one has yet to be decided.

A proposed $22.2 million increase is still pending. Questar had asked for a $27 million hike, but state regulators said in March that amount was too much.

The Committee of Consumer Services believes Questar is asking for way too much. The committee thinks Questar deserves a rate increase of only $5.4 million.

A Questar spokesman says the gas company has already told the Utah Public Service Commission that Questar is likely to file another rate increase petition this fall. When and how much will depend on the outcome of the pending request.
