NEW YORK (AP) — Willkommen to the road.
The Roundabout Theatre Company said Tuesday its touring Broadway production of "Cabaret" will start next year in Providence, Rhode Island. No casting was announced.
After kicking off in January at the Providence Performing Arts Center, the tour will include stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Miami, Las Vegas, Dallas, Cincinnati, Baltimore, New Orleans, Houston, Louisville, Des Moines and Milwaukee.
"Cabaret" centers on the world of the indulgent Kit Kat Klub in Berlin as it becomes intertwined with the world outside, which gets more precarious on the brink of World War II. The current Broadway revival, which teams up performer Alan Cumming, director Sam Mendes and choreographer Rob Marshall and the creative team from the 1998 revival, has been a hit.
